Sophie

A word from Sophie – Yoga Teacher

I am a fully qualified Yoga teacher. I completed my 500 hour training course with Yoga professionals in 2009. Before gaining my certification in yoga, I was a Fitness instructor, teaching Aerobics, Circuits, kickboxing and Fitness Yoga. After over a decade of teaching I am still very passionate about what I do and continue to grow and further my knowledge and skills by attending workshops and seminars.

I would say my style of teaching is very relaxed, I welcome all abilities and there is nothing more rewarding than seeing my students progress in their practice, gaining strength, balance and self awareness. The human body is amazing and we are all very different, sometimes the way yoga postures are described and shown in books can not be achieved by everyone. The wonderful thing about yoga is there are many variations and modifications,making it suitable for all. There is a great misconception that one has to be super flexible to even attempt Yoga, this can not be further from the truth. Those who are inflexible will reap the benefits of attending classes regular and soon feel a difference.

I teach at The Studio SE6 on Tuesdays 6.30-7.30pm & Thursdays 6.30-7.30pm.

I also teach Post Natal Mum & Baby classes on Tuesdays 10.30-11.30am.
